There is a silent, relentless brutality to this disease that the outside world rarely sees and struggles to comprehend. It is fought behind closed doors, beneath layers of clothing, and far away from the sterile, detached language of medical textbooks. The physical demolition is severe, but the psychological damage is just as heavy.
While our clinical science and lifestyle tactics give us the armor to fight the biology of HS, the emotional toll requires a different kind of medicine.
This space exists to give a voice to that unseen suffering. It is a record of a battle that is almost impossible to explain to those who have not lived it. Here, we speak the language only we understand.
